a few therapy
specialities
-
Therapy doesn’t have to start with a crisis. This space is for navigating stress, life transitions, burnout, identity shifts, or that persistent feeling of something just isn’t sitting right. We move at your pace, focusing on understanding patterns, strengthening emotional awareness, and building tools that feel realistic for your life.
-
Grief isn’t linear, tidy, or time-limited. Whether you’re mourning a death, a loss of a pet, a relationship, a version of yourself, a life transition/major change, or a future you imagined, therapy offers space to honor what was lost while gently supporting how you continue forward. There’s no right way to grieve, only your way.

This is an affirming, identity-honoring space for exploring gender, sexuality, coming out, relationships, chosen family, and the impact of living in a world that doesn’t always feel safe or understanding. You don’t need to educate here. You simply get to exist, unpack, and be supported as you are.

Partner(s) therapy focuses on communication, emotional safety, and understanding patterns that show up between you. Whether you’re navigating conflict, rebuilding trust, adjusting to change, or simply wanting to feel more connected, this work creates space for honesty, repair, and growth together.

Growing up in unpredictable or emotionally unsafe environments often leaves lasting imprints. Therapy for adult children of alcoholics explores hypervigilance, people-pleasing, shame, emotional regulation, and difficulty trusting safety. This work centers on reconnecting with yourself and building healthier internal and external boundaries.
-
Trauma can live in the body long after events have passed. EMDR and trauma-informed therapy help reduce the emotional charge of distressing memories while strengthening internal resources and safety. This work is collaborative, paced intentionally, and grounded in nervous-system awareness.
-
Dental fear is more common than most people realize and it’s not a personal failure. This specialty supports individuals whose past experiences, sensory sensitivity, or trauma make dental care overwhelming. Therapy focuses on reducing anxiety responses, increasing a sense of control, and rebuilding trust with your body and care environments.

Accessibility
Reduced-Rate Options
This is a private-pay practice. I do not accept insurance in order to protect client privacy and reduce third-party involvement in the therapy process. Private pay allows for greater discretion, flexibility, and client-centered care.
Because of this, I hold a limited number of reduced-rate spots to support accessibility. Reduced rates are offered without income verification and are based on availability. These spots are limited and may not always be open.
If cost is a concern, you’re welcome to mention this when reaching out, and we can explore options together.
here is what we
can work on together
Therapy isn’t about fixing you or turning you into a different person. It can be a place to slow things down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and feel less alone while you do.
Therapy can help you:
Better understand your emotions, patterns, and reactions
Reduce overwhelm and feel more grounded in your body
Navigate grief, trauma, and major life transitions
Strengthen communication and relationships
Explore identity with curiosity rather than judgment
Build coping tools that actually fit your real life
Therapy here is collaborative, flexible, and centered on what feels supportive for you.

THE PROCESS
01 / CONSULT
One of the hardest steps in pursuing therapy is reaching out. It is also incredibly courageous. Once you make contact, we will aim to set-up a consultation call to discuss the process.
02 / MEET
Once we meet, we will begin developing the therapeutic relationship. This can take time and is one of the most important elements of therapy as we navigate your needs.
03 / HEAL
Healing is often one of the primary reasons we seek therapy. You deserve to heal, find peace, and feel whole. Therapy is a collaborative process and your voice will be heard.
how sessions flow
I often work to keep sessions flowing similarly from one to the next as a way to support your nervous system and make therapy feel like a steady, familiar space you can settle into.
Most sessions include:
A brief check-in to see how you’re arriving that day
Clarifying what feels most helpful to focus on
Slowing down and spending time with what’s coming up
You’re welcome to settle in however feels most comfortable, whether that includes kicking your shoes off, fidgeting, doodling, sitting quietly, or taking a pause when needed. This space, whether virtual or in-person, is one where you don’t have to hold it all together.
While no two sessions are exactly the same, the structure remains steady so your body and mind can relax into the process.
how I approach therapy
One thing about how I approach this work, is that you’ll never question the importance I place on collaboration and challenging the systems of which we live in.
My work is informed by relational and systemic frameworks. What this essentially means, is that we explore what’s happening within you, but also within the relationships, environments, and systems that have shaped your life experiences.
I adapt the work to what feels most supportive for you by drawing from relational, attachment-informed, emotion-focused, parts work-informed, and person-centered approaches.
If something we try doesn’t land or feels unhelpful, that’s okay! We can always adjust. Therapy is meant to evolve with you.
fyi, therapy can
sometimes look like:
Playing a simple game (Uno, cards, etc.) while we talk
Listening to a song together, talking through pop culture or media as a way to explore emotions and patterns
Sitting quietly for a moment instead of filling every second with words
Using humor, metaphors, or storytelling to make sense of experiences
Doing a few stretches and breathing exercises to facilitate emotional connection
Letting movement, fidgeting, or grounding tools be part of the session
Going for a walk while talking with one another (see below)
If any of these spark your interest, we can most certainly incorporate it into the work!
when sitting still
isn’t helping
Not everyone processes best while sitting in a chair and making eye contact. For some folks, moving the body, being outdoors, and talking side-by-side can make conversations feel easier and more natural.
Walk-and-talk sessions are an option when sitting in the therapy space doesn’t feel supportive. The work stays the same (thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded) just with a little movement and fresh air mixed in.
Walk-and-talk sessions are offered when it feels appropriate, logistically doable, and weather-friendly. We’ll always talk it through first and decide together what feels like the best fit.

I’m an out-of-network provider and don’t accept insurance directly. This allows me to prioritize privacy, flexibility, and the kind of care I offer. I can provide a superbill if you’d like to explore out-of-network reimbursement with your insurance company (they’ll be the best ones to confirm coverage).
-
Payment is collected securely through my client portal using a credit or debit card. It’s simple, HIPAA-compliant, and taken care of automatically so it’s one less thing to think about. Accepted forms of payment include: Debit, Credit, HSA/FSA.
-
I see clients during the weekdays, with availability varying depending on the day. The most up-to-date openings are always shown through the online scheduling system (so no guessing or emailing back and forth).
-
I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be subject to a fee. Any updates to the policy are communicated as soon as they are made!
More specific policy details will be discussed during an initial session.

Yes! I am able to provide virtual services only to Missouri residents at this time. Many folks appreciate the flexibility and comfort of meeting from their own space, so if that is you we can make it work!

That really depends on you. Some people come in for short-term support around a specific season or issue, while others choose longer-term work. We’ll check in along the way and adjust as needed. There’s no pressure to commit to a timeline upfront.
I can guarantee that you are not the only one wondering these things (most people do).
Here are some answers to common questions to help you get a feel for how this all works! If there is a question that is not answered on here, I can definitely do so during a brief consult call or by email.
